As part of his visit to the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Clement Nyaletsossi Voule, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, together with his colleagues.
The UN Special Rapporteur was received on a working visit by President of the Constitutional Court Valerija Galić, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court Mirsad Ćeman, Registrar Sevima Sali Terzić, Head of the Office of the President Erda Začiragić and Head of the Constitutional Case Law Section Ermina Dumanjić.
President Galić and Vice-President Ćeman presented facts about the constitutional position, competences, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the current circumstances. They referred to the place, role and jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court, especially in the segment of protection of the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
The UN Special Rapporteur thanked for the reception, exchange of opinions and information he received from the delegation of the Constitutional Court, and wished the Constitutional Court a successful continuation of its work.
