Delegation of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Vice-President, Ms. Valerija Galić, participated in the judicial seminar entitled Protecting Human Rights in a World of Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms and Big Data, held on 31 January 2025 on the occasion of the opening of judicial year of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Ms. Erda Začiragić, Head of the Office of the President, also attended the seminar together with Vice-President Galić.
The judicial seminar had two sessions. The topics of the first session were Council of Europe/European Standards on Artificial Intelligence: Setting the Scene, and Freedom of Expression in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. The second session addressed the following topics: Artificial Intelligence and the Right to Fair Trial, and Addressing Potential Discrimination in Artificial Intelligence. The seminar was followed by a solemn ceremony of the European Court which was opened by the Court President, Mr. Marko Bošnjak.
During the visit, Vice-President Galić met with the president and judges of the European Court, presidents and judges of the highest European constitutional and other courts, as well as with many other participants in the seminar and attendees of the solemn ceremony with whom she discussed current issues.
