Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for the monitoring of obligations and commitments by Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Zsolt Németh (Hungary) and Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski (North Macedonia), accompanied by the co-secretary of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Mr. Matthieu Monin, within a fact-finding visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, have paid a visit today to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe was received by the President of the Constitutional Court Valerija Galić with associates.
President Galić informed the delegation of the facts concerning the constitutional position, jurisdiction, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both parties discussed the position, role and jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court particularly as to human rights and fundamental freedoms protection and protection of the principle of the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe expressed gratitude for the reception, exchange of opinions and information it received from President Galić and wished the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina a successful continuation of its work.
