The United Nations’ delegation of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague (Mechanism), led by Mr. Abubacarr Tambadou, Assistant Secretary General of the UN and Registrar of the Mechanism, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Valerija Galić and her associates received the delegation for a working visit.
President Galić presented the facts to the delegation about the constitutional position, competences, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. Tambadou informed President Galić about the future work of the Mechanism in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also discussed the case law of the Constitutional Court in relation to war crimes cases.
The delegation of the Mechanism expressed its gratitude for the reception, exchange of opinions and information received from President Galić and wished to the Constitutional Court a successful continuation of its work.
