His Excellency José María Valdemoro Giménez, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
His Excellency Ambassador Giménez was welcomed in an inaugural visit by the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko M. Knežević and the Registrar of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zvonko Mijan.
President Knežević presented to the Ambassador the facts on the constitutional position, organisation, functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on its abstract and appellate jurisdiction and the relevant statistic data concerning the work of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In their conversation, the interlocutors referred to the position and role of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the constitutional structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the significance of the Constitutional Court’s decisions in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. President Knežević and Ambassador Giménez agreed upon the exceptional importance of the respect for and the encouragement and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms as the basis of equality.
Ambassador Giménez expressed his gratitude for the meeting, exchange of opinions and information he received during his visit and conveyed to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina his best wishes for the continuation of successful work in the future.
