Visit of Ambassador of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina

 

His Excellency Kazuya Ogawa, extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina paid a visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

His Excellency paid his inaugural visit to Mirsad Ćeman, President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the visit, President Ćeman and His Excellency Ambassador Ogawa exchanged information and their views about the position of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Supreme Court of Japan within the respective constitutional structures of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Japan respectively. They pointed out the importance of compliance with and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms as the basis for equality.

During the visit, President Ćeman emphasized and informed His Excellency Ambassador Ogawa about the significance of decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Ogawa expressed his gratitude for the reception, exchange of opinions and information he received during the visit. He emphasized importance of the role of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

During the visit, President Ćeman presented His Excellency Ambassador Ogawa with the Monograph “Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1964-2014)” dedicated to the 50th anniversary of constitutional judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
