His Excellency Ambassador Johann Sattler, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has paid a visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
The President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mato Tadić and Secretary General Nataša Vuković of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina received his Excellency Ambassador Sattler on a working visit.
President Tadić informed Ambassador Sattler of the facts about the constitutional position, organization, composition and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the relevant information on the work of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
President Tadić and Ambassador Sattler talked about the position of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the constitutional law structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also talked about the importance of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the context of European Commission Opinion on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s application for membership of the European Union. An emphasis was placed on significance of the cooperation between the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union Special Representative in BiH.
Ambassador Sattler extended his gratitude for the reception, exchange of opinion and information he received during the visit, and voiced his unconditional support to the integrity and independence of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
