Representatives of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended a consultative meeting on the transparency of judicial processes for war crimes and the availability of judicial

On 25 June 2024, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a consultative meeting in Sarajevo with partners from the field of justice. The participants discussed the implications of the Instructions for Anonymization and the Guidelines for Publishing Judicial and Prosecutorial Decisions, which were recently adopted by the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH (HJPC BiH) in war crimes trials. On behalf of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the meeting was attended by Ermina Dumanjić, Head of the Department for Constitutional Court Case-Law, Vanesa Jusufbegović, Senior Legal Advisor and Boris Bogdanović, Legal Advisor in the Office of the Registrar of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The goal of the meeting was to exchange opinions with representatives of the judiciary, especially the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the HJPC, court presidents, chief prosecutors, as well as representatives of the international and academic community. The main topics of discussion were the scope of the new rules and how to ensure that these rules do not negatively affect transparency in war crimes cases.
