Honourable former Judge and Vice-President of the Constitutional Court Mirko Zovko passed away in Sarajevo on 21 March 2024, at the age of 87.
Judge Mirko Zovko was born in Drvar on 12 February 1937.
He graduated from the Law Faculty in Sarajevo in 1962. He passed the bar exam in 1965. Immediately after, he was elected a Judge of the Municipal Court II in Sarajevo. In 1969, he was elected a Judge of the County Court in Sarajevo. In 1971, he worked as a lawyer in Sarajevo. In 1996, he was elected a Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of BiH.
He served as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 1997 to May 2002. From July 1997 to June 1998, he served as the President of the Constitutional Court.
