In the period from 1997 to 2001, the Constitutional Court in cooperation with the PHARE program organized a number of conferences and roundtables being the basis for establishing the relationships between the Constitutional Court and other judicial instances in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These were the first steps to confirm the system of the constitutional judiciary and judicial system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As early as in 2003, the Constitutional Court initiated the gatherings of the regional constitutional courts with the aim of exchanging experience, views and case-law related to the application of law in the field of the rule of law, protection of and respect for human rights and fundamental freedom and establishment of expert cooperation in relation to other issues being of common interest and importance to the constitutional courts of the countries in transition, the common features of which are the beginning of the constitutional judiciary and the basis thereof. The Constitutional Court has so far held five regional conferences.

Since 2017, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the AIRE Centre based in London (Advice on Individual Rights in Europe) has organized the conferences of the superior courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina on an annual basis. The aim of the Forum is to advance the cooperation between the highest judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and harmonization of the case-law in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the European standards.
