The Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador Bruce G. Breton and his associates paid a visit to the Constitutional Court today, May 8th 2019.
His Excellency Ambassador Berton was welcomed by the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Zlatko M. Knežević, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Mirsad Ćeman and Head of the Office of the President, Ms. Erda Začiragić.
President Knežević, Vice-President Ćeman and Ambassador Berton talked about the position of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the constitutional structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina and importance of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They draw a particular attention to the obligations of the relevant authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enforce the decisions of the Constitutional Court f Bosnia and Herzegovina. The experiences of successful cooperation which the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina have had so far in promoting and advancing the protection of human rights, were exchanged during the visit.
Ambassador Berton expressed his gratitude for the exchange of views and information he obtained by President Knežević and Vice-President Ćeman during the visit. He stressed the importance of the role of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms and expressed his best wishes to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in its future endeavours.
