The representatives of the Federal Court of Justice of Germany, composed of judges and prosecutors of the Federal States of Germany, paid a visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today within the framework of a study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The visit was initiated by the Federal Court of Justice of Germany with the aim of being acquainted with common features and differences in the legal tradition and organisation of the justice systems of the Federal Republic of Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Entities.
The delegation was received by the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Mirsad Ćeman and his colleagues.
During the visit, the participants were informed of the responsibilities, organisation and work of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and organisation of justice in general in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A particular attention was paid to current practical challenges to the justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the issue of enforcement of court decisions in general and decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this connection, a particular importance was given to the enforcement of court decisions as an important instrument for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
