On 20 September 2022, His Excellency Julian Reilly, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina with his associates.
Ms. Valerija Galić, the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with her associates, received Ambassador Reilly.
President Galić presented the facts on the constitutional position, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court and on appellate and abstract jurisdiction, as well as the relevant statistical data on the work of the Constitutional Court. Both the President and the Ambassador referred to possible challenges in the future work of the Constitutional Court. It was emphasized that there is a very good and successful cooperation of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this regard, President Galić used the opportunity to thank Ambassador Reilly for the support provided by the British Government and the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Constitutional Court in the implementation of projects that serve to improve the rule of law and strengthen the capacity of judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Reilly thanked for the reception, exchange of opinions and information he received from President Galić during the visit. He emphasized the importance of the role of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the segment of the rule of law, and wished the Constitutional Court a successful continuation of its work.
