His Excellency Igor Kalabuhov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 27 January 2021.
His Excellency Ambassador Kalabuhov was received by the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko M. Knežević and his associates, Secretary General Nataša Vuković and Head of the Office of the President Erda Začiragić for an inaugural visit.
President Knežević and Ambassador Kalabuhov discussed the position of the Constitutional Court of BiH within the constitutional structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the importance of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A particular attention was given to the obligation of their enforcement by the relevant authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the discussion, a reference was also made to a very successful cooperation between the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, as well as the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
Ambassador Kalabukhov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, exchange of opinions and information received during the visit and wished the Constitutional Court of BiH success in its future work.
