Visit of students from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo

At the initiative of the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) Sarajevo, on 10 December 2024, students from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This visit took place on Human Rights Day, which has been observed annually since 1948, in recognition of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948.

The Declaration calls on all nations to recognize the inherent dignity and equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family as the foundation of freedom, justice, and peace in the world.

In addition to its symbolic significance, the visit aimed to provide students with an opportunity to engage in discussions about the jurisdiction, organization, and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the highest institution in the country responsible for safeguarding human rights and freedoms.

The discussion with the students on these topics was led by Senior Legal Advisor Franjo Dragičević and Judicial Associate Nemanja Ristić.
