The Minister of Justice of Hungary, Dr. László Trócsányi with his associates and accompanied by József Négyesi and Leonóre Gulyás, Ambassador and Consul of the Hungary in Bosnia and Herzegovina respectively, paid a visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, 22 March 2018.
The Minister of Justice of Hungary, Dr. László Trócsányi was received in this brief working visit by the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirsad Ćeman and Vice-Presidents of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mato Tadić, Margarita Tsatsa-Nikolovska and Zlatko M. Knežević with associates.
The delegation of Hungary was presented the facts on the constitutional position, organisation, functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and relevant statistical data on the work of the Constitutional Court of BiH. Also discussed was the position of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the constitutional structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the significance of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Considering that the Minister Trócsányi is a lawyer and professor of law at the University of Szeged and that he was also a judge of the Constitutional Court of Hungary, he expressed a particular interest for the process of adoption of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and legal case-law of the Court in general.
Dr. László Trócsányi expressed his gratitude for the visit, exchange of opinions and information he received from the President and Vice-Presidents of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasised importance of the role of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
