Born in Split (Republic of Croatia) in 1956. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo. In 1981, she was employed in the Secretariat for Legislation of the then Executive Council of the SRBiH Assembly as an intern. She was then referred to the Municipal Court I in Sarajevo for training as a judge. Having passed the bar exam, she continued working first as a law clerk, then advisor and assistant secretary for legislation within the Executive Council of the R/FBiH Government until 1996. In 1996, she was appointed the Secretary to the Office for Legislation of the FBiH Government. She was a member of a number of working commissions tasked with drafting systemic laws in various fields. As a representative of BiH from FBiH and a member of the Commission for Harmonization of the Legal System with the European Legislation, she participated in several international programs held in USA and France (Strasbourg). She is a co-author and reviewer of several professional publications. She was a member of the Commission for Professional Qualifications Exam for the Administration Employees of the FBiH, examiner in the subjects of Fundamentals of the Constitutional System and Fundamentals of Administration in the FBiH. She was also a member of the Committee of Bar Examiners at the level of FBiH – the examiner in the subject of Administrative and Labour Law. She is a member of the committees of Bar Examiners at the level of BiH – the examiner in the subject of Administrative and Labour Law. As a lecturer, she participated in several national and international conferences on constitutional judiciary and the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
In 2002, she was appointed to the office of Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2002. She took the office following the constituting session of the new composition of judges of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ms. Galić served as Vice-President of the Constitutional Court from 2006 until 2012 for two consecutive terms. Also, she served as President for two terms: from 2012 until 2015 and from 2022 until 2024. She was elected Vice-President of the Constitutional Court in June 2024.
