Mr. Mirsad Ćeman, President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Mato Tadić, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina are attending the International Symposium Constitutional Courts as Guardians of Fundamental Rights on the occasion of 55th Anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey in Ankara from 25 to 26 April 2017.
This International Symposium is organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey. In addition to the President, Vice-President and Judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey, the presidents, vice-presidents, judges of the constitutional/supreme courts and experts from a number of other countries are participating in the work of this symposium (USA, Russia, Germany, Italy, European Court of Human Rights, constitutional courts of our neighbouring countries etc.).
The Symposium, through three sessions, deals with the following subjects: Constitutional Courts and the Balance between Security and Liberty, the Role of Constitutional Courts in Protection of Fundamental Rights in States of Emergency and Relations of Constitutional Courts with Legislative, Executive and Other Judicial Organs concerning the Protection of Fundamental Rights.
