Visit of the delegation of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey

 

The delegation of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey is paying an official visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 12 to 15 September 2018.

The delegation of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey is composed of Zühtü Arslan, the President of the Constitutional Court Republic of Turkey, Hasan Tahsin Gökcan and Recep Kömürcü, Judges of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey and Şermin Birtane, Judge Rapporteur of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey.

Long lasting cooperation between the two courts is based on the exchange of experiences and achievements within the frame of constitutional systems of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Turkey.

President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zlatko M. Knežević is heading the professional discussions with the colleagues from the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey together with the Vice-Presidents of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mato Tadić and Mirsad Ćeman and Judges of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Valerija Galić, Miodrag Simović and Seada Palavrić.

The members of the delegations of the two courts exchanged experiences, views and opinions on a general subject of a discussions „Implementation of the Decisions of the Constitutional Court and Problems arising in regards to Implementation“. This topic is one of the most important subjects that jurisdictions impose on the constitutional systems of both countries.

The delegations of both courts, headed by the Presidents Zühtü Arslan and Zlatko M. Knežević, were received by the Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović.

As a continuation of the visit program, the guests from Turkey and their hosts, have visited the parts of Herzegovina - Blagaj and Konjic and were shown hospitality by the Mayor of the City of Trebinje, Luka Petrović by being given a tour of Trebinje and introduced with its historical and tourism potentials.
