His Excellence Jakub Skalnik, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina, has paid a visit today to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
His Excellence, Ambassador Skalnik, has been received by the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Mirsad Ćeman.
President Ćeman presented to the Ambassador the information about the constitutional position, organization and the functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, appellate and abstract jurisdiction and relevant statistics about the work of the Constitutional Court of BiH. During their conversation they addressed the position and role of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the constitutional and legal structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as significance of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Among other things, President Ćeman and Ambassador Skalnik discussed the nomination of the Czech Republic as a host of XVIII Congress of the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts, to be considered at XVII Congress held in Batumi (Georgia) in June this year.
Ambassador Skalnik thanked the President for the reception, exchange of opinions and information he received during the visit and wished the Constitutional Court of BiH success in future work and in the participation in XVII Congress of the European Constitutional Courts.
