Mr. Zovko graduated from the Law Faculty in Sarajevo in 1962.

He passed the bar exam in 1965. Immediately after, he was elected a Judge of the Municipal Court II in Sarajevo. In 1969, he was elected a Judge of the County Court in Sarajevo. In 1971, he worked as a lawyer in Sarajevo. In 1996, he was elected a Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of BiH.

He served as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 1997 to May 2002. From July 1997 to June 1998, he served as the President of the Constitutional Court.
