Ms. Omeragić graduated from the Law Faculty in Sarajevo in 1973 and passed the bar exam in 1976.

She served as a Judge of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo until 1989, after which she was elected to Higher Court in Sarajevo. She was elected the President of the Higher Court in Sarajevo in 1995. With the establishment of judicial authorities in the Sarajevo Canton in April 1997, she was elected a Judge of the Саntonаl Court. She was elected as the President of the Cantonal Court by the collegium of the Court, and she served this role until December 1998.

She served as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from December 1998 to May 2002.
